Is Spanish your native language? Are you interested in learning French for the first-time ever? If yes/si/oui, this class is for you! There are similarities between Spanish and French that can provide an advantage to Spanish speakers when learning French. This course will capitalize on advantages and simultaneously work to overcome some of the most common mistakes made by Spanish-native speakers.

Tuesdays, July 15th; 22nd; 29th; and August 5th (4 weeks) 6:30pm – 8pm
In this class, we’ll see very common verbs in the French language, and how to use them: être/avoir; aller/venir; faire/prendre; apporter/amener; écouter/entendre; voir/regarder, etc.
Each verb combination will be followed by a short exercise we will do together. A great way to gain confidence in your French skills! This class will be conducted mostly in English.

One week before each class, you’ll receive a PDF with French news, so you can read them and work on them in advance.
The objective of this class is to learn how to talk about the news and how to give your opinion. You’ll learn how to talk about a news article in French, how to summarize it. You’ll also learn the vocabulary related to the news. And also how to express your opinion. This class will be conducted using French and English, as needed.

Mondays, August 4th; 11th; 18th; and 25th (4-weeks) 6:30pm – 8pm
