Mardi Gras Dinner Highlights

During these times, we remember this wonderful dinner with more than a bit of “nostalgia”, the final AF de SA gathering before changes were implemented, but we are hopeful that we’ll be able to safely organize a similar dinner later in the year! 

On February 25th, friends and members of the Alliance enjoyed a fantastic dinner and wine pairing. There was plenty of conversation in French, and some snaps to capture the moment. See the gallery of pictures from that night:

An Alliance Française dinner at Frederick’s Restaurant is always a treat, and this year’s Mardi Gras dinner was no exception!  Forty-five guests enjoyed a sumptuous three-course dinner featuring delicious entrees such as parmesan-crusted trust with avocado relish, veal strip loin satimbocca with prosciutto, and grilled quail with port wine sauce, accompanied by fine wines selected by Jean-Yves Ferrer of the Boerne Wine Company.  Among our attendees was a special guest, François D’Alancon, foreign correspondant at Parisian newspaper La Croix, visiting the Alamo City to conduct interviews about the then-upcoming Super Tuesday primaries.
