Three guests of honor for tonight’s Bastille Day celebration

There will be three special guests of honor at tonight’s Bastille Day celebration.

French Consul Alexis Andres, Texas Secretary of State Roland Pablos and San Antonio District 10 City Councilman Clayton Perry will be the guests of honor.

The French Independence Day celebration will take place at The Veranda at 1746 Lockhill Selma Road in Castle Hills from 6:30 to 9 p.m. tonight.

With previous assignments in Hanoi, Berlin and Algiers, Consul Andres arrived at the Consulate General of France in Houston in September 2017.

Consul Andres recently visited San Antonio for the Alamo City’s tricentennial celebration.

Appointed by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, Secretary Pablos is no stranger to San Antonio.

Pablos earned his bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s University, an MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio and later returned to St. Mary’s University for law school. He is the former board chair of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and a former honorary consul for Spain.

Councilman Perry was elected to office in June 2017. A retired civil engineer with the U.S. Air Force, Perry remains very active in the community.
